My kids never say no to any opportunity that allows them to come up close and learn more about dinosaurs.

Yup, these creatures might have been long extinct but there are just so much fascinating things to learn about them. Never mind that we can never remember the names of most of these dinosaurs or can't even pronounce some of the terms used in paleontology, we are still excited to get the chance to go on a journey back in time and step into the lost world.

We checked out the world premiere of DinoQuest at Science Centre Singapore. The exhibition spans across seven thematic zones and provides a multi-sensory experience as the little ones are introduced to the science of palaeontology and the process of fossilisation.

The most fun parts for them were using the UV flashlight to hunt for hidden messages, drilling for fossils, painting to reconstruct the layers of skin on the dinosaurs, scanning their ID cards to answer questions and learn more about their own fossils, coming up with a unique name for their dinosaur and seeing it come to life in the VR dinosaur park.

It was a good 1.5-hour experience for us and we made the most of our visit by staying on to explore Science Centre after that too. It's one of our favourite places to visit despite that we live so far away and I'm just glad all the travelling with these three in tow was worth it. Yippee for another fun day out!

DinoQuest runs from now to 31 August at The Annexe in Science Centre. Tickets are at $18/adult, $15/child or $52/family. Thanks for having us!
